Solasta II has received its first major Early Access update. Online co-op, the Warlock class with two subclasses and thirty new world events are included. Character changes, rolled ability scores, cloud saves and GeForce Now support accompany them.
In co-op, the host assigns characters and companions. Players can move separately through locations outside combat, while the host controls the whole group on the world map. Players vote in dialogues before a timer applies the selected response. The shared campaign therefore involves more than one additional directly controlled character.
Warlock: Two Separate Decisions
Warlocks can emphasise melee or ranged combat through their pact and Eldritch Invocations. Pact of the Blade ties Charisma to physical damage. Pact of the Tome and suitable invocations strengthen Eldritch Blast. Hex requires concentration and adds damage on successful attack rolls; after its target dies, it can be transferred using a bonus action.
The patron is a second choice. At level three, Dreamer receives another invocation and can change a prepared spell after a long rest. Timekeeper prevents a target’s reactions until its next turn after damage from a spell of at least first level. Solasta II: Choose Warlock Pact and Patron for Melee or Ranged Combat explains the complete role decision.
Old Saves and Alternative Steam Branches
Tactical Adventures generally expects saves to remain compatible but provides a previousversion branch for major problems. That branch means solo play without the new Warlock class. It is therefore not an equivalent fallback for a group wanting to play the new content together.
A separate beta branch addresses particular known blockers. The studio reminds players to return later to the normal public version to receive further hotfixes. Read the subsequent fixes when starting a new co-op session; an early Update 1 state is not automatically the current bug state.
