Withers offers a respec at camp for 100 gold. You can reselect class, subclass, abilities, skills, spells, feats and other level-up choices. Previously earned experience remains available for levelling again.
Access and Procedure
- Find Withers early in Act One in the hidden chamber of the Dank Crypt and speak to him after opening his sarcophagus. He later appears at camp. He may appear without that visit too; an exact alternative trigger is not consistently documented.
- At camp, switch to the character you want to change and speak to Withers.
- Select the class change and pay 100 gold.
- Choose the new level-one class and ability scores, then complete available level-ups in your desired order.
- Check equipment and prepared spells. The new class needs the required armour and weapon proficiencies.
What Remains
| Can Be Changed | Unchanged by Withers |
|---|---|
| Classes, subclasses, feats | Race and race-specific selections |
| Abilities and class-related skills | Origin and background |
| Spells and other level-up choices | Appearance and gender |
Companions can also respec through these services. A new class does not erase their personal story. Withers is not the appropriate feature for cosmetic changes.
A Paladin with a broken oath must first restore it through the Oathbreaker Knight before respec becomes available. If the option is missing, check oath status and speak using the character you actually want to change. The 200-gold price belongs to Withers’ revival service, rather than changing class.
