Solasta II received hotfix 0.4.5 on October 8. Tactical Adventures reports fixes for looting, controls and co-op bugs, while cautiously describing two persistent combat problems as hopefully fixed. Other known issues remain.
Loot Goes to the Right Player
Emptied chests should no longer appear unopened after reloading a save. When a non-host player loots a pouch while controlling a companion, the loot window should now appear on that player’s screen rather than the host’s.
Companions still have no inventory of their own. Items go to a hero you control instead. According to the patch notes, you cannot loot if the host has assigned you only a companion. Ask the host to assign you a hero as well in that situation.
Changes to Controls and Combat Effects
Right-click should once again close submenus such as spell or target selection. Outside combat in Direct Control, touch spells such as Cure Wounds should also be cancellable when the selected ally is too far away.
According to the patch notes, charge items such as the Wand of Magic Missile should recharge on a Long Rest rather than incorrectly recovering charges on a Short Rest. Vex and Guiding Bolt should also last no more than one round rather than the erroneous three rounds. Plan your next actions around that shorter effect.
Co-op and Warlock Problems to Watch For
For infinite Warlock movement after Hex and certain nearby-enemy “Target not sensed” cases, Tactical Adventures explicitly says the issues have hopefully been fixed. “Target not sensed” remains on the known-issues list for non-hosts. The studio suggests a quicksave and quickload as a temporary workaround.
As host, do not reload while another player is joining the session: this remains a listed cause of crashes for the joining player. Wait until they have joined before reloading. Also avoid choosing Magic Initiate through Lesson of the First Ones when levelling a Warlock to level 3. The studio identifies that specific combination as a known crash condition.
Act II Is Part of the Next Major Update
The announced next Early Access update is planned to raise the level cap from four to six, rework parts of Act I and open Act II. Hotfix 0.4.5 does not unlock those additions.
